What our reviews are, what they are not, and the limits of what you should rely on them for.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
The short version. Our reviews are informed opinion based on hands-on testing, not professional advice. Tools change constantly, our testing conditions are not yours, and the final decision — along with the responsibility for it — is yours.
Reviews are opinion, not advice
Everything published on AIVerdict is editorial opinion formed by using the software ourselves. It is not professional, legal, financial, tax or business advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone qualified who knows your circumstances. Buying decisions — particularly ones with meaningful cost or contractual commitment attached — remain yours to make.
AI tools change faster than reviews do
This is the single biggest limitation of anything you read here. Features, model quality, pricing tiers and usage limits in this market can change within weeks, sometimes without announcement. A review reflects the product as we found it on the date shown, at the price shown, on the plan shown.
- Always check current pricing and terms on the vendor's own site before you buy. Where our figures and theirs disagree, theirs are correct.
- We re-test recommendations periodically, but there will be windows where a score lags the product.
- If you spot something out of date, tell us — it is the most useful correction you can send.
Your results will differ from ours
We score tools against a fixed rubric using our own briefs, prompts, data and workflows. Output quality from AI tools varies enormously with how they are prompted, what they are given to work with, and what you are trying to produce. A tool we rate highly may suit us and not you. Treat our scores as a starting shortlist, then use free trials to test against your own work.
Third-party tools and links
We do not build, host, control or support any of the tools we review. We are not responsible for their availability, output, pricing changes, data handling, security practices, terms of service, or for any loss arising from your use of them. Your relationship with a vendor is between you and them, governed by their terms, not ours.
The same applies to any external site we link to. A link is not an endorsement of everything that sits behind it, and we cannot vouch for content we do not control.
Accuracy and completeness
We take reasonable care to be accurate and we correct mistakes when we find them or when they are pointed out. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors or omissions, and we do not promise that any tool will produce a particular result for you. The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.
Commercial relationships
Some links on this site are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you subscribe through one. This never affects scores, rankings or criticism — the full detail is set out in our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date, or unfair to a product, we would rather know. Corrections get made, and material ones get noted on the page — get in touch.
How we test
Our methodology is published in full — what we buy, how we score, and how often we re-test.
